How do you handle long-running tasks in OpenClaw without blocking?

I've been using OpenClaw for a few weeks and love it, but I'm hitting a wall with long-running tasks. When I ask it to process a large file or run a lengthy script, the session seems to hang until it completes. Is there a way to background these tasks or get async notifications when they finish? Running on a Mac if that matters.
