Using HyBran to survive my last semester — a student's perspective

Final year student here. Switched to HyBran for note-taking this semester and it's been a game changer for lectures.

What actually works:

• Voice capture during lectures means I can focus on listening instead of typing. The transcript is searchable by the time I get back to my dorm.
• The knowledge graph connected concepts from my September intro course to my March advanced seminar. Professor mentioned something I vaguely remembered, and OpenClaw surfaced the exact note from four months ago.
• Offline access is clutch. Our campus WiFi dies during peak hours, but my notes and the AI features still work perfectly.

The study workflow:

1. Record lecture audio → auto-transcribe
2. Highlight key terms during review → OpenClaw suggests related readings
3. Export to Anki for spaced repetition flashcards

Battery lasts through a full day of classes (8 AM to 6 PM) with about 30% left. No more hunting for outlets in the library.
