What exactly does OpenClaw send to the internet vs keep local?

I've been using OpenClaw for a week and I love the idea of local-first AI, but I'm not technical enough to understand what's actually happening under the hood.

When I ask it something, how do I know if it's being processed on my computer or sent to some server? I see it sometimes uses Brave search - is my search query tied to my identity? And what about when I connect it to my email or calendar?

I want to trust the "local AI" promise, but I'd feel better if someone could explain in plain English what data leaves my device and when. Thanks!
